Investors should focus on whether this biz can transition from selling core HCI software to subscriptions.
72% sub rev growth & 132% $-based net expansion are great signs of that. I'm holding my shares. pic.twitter.com/rHRiiR8k8u

$KHC Kraft Heinz thoughtful thread
1/ When Kraft first came up with the concept of Pizza Lunchables (those cold trays with customizable sauces & toppings), it tested terribly with focus groups of mothers. Moms everywhere said "This is an awful idea, a really awful idea." The concept got the worst score in history.— Kevin Lee (@kevinleeme) August 27, 2019
$PTON Peloton InteractiveThread
1/ $PTON Peloton subscriber churn looks to me to be around 20-30% per year. But they reported churn of 0.7%!!— Inquisitive Investor (@QuisitiveInvest) August 27, 2019
Math with me here.. the reported churn is a 'monthly' churn, calculated as net cancels in the period, divided by 3 months. So 0.7% = 2.1% per quarter, or around 8.4%/yr.

Thread about Disney $DIS + Sony $SNE breakup over #SpiderMan
Asked a lot about the Disney/Marvel + Sony breakup over ‘#SpiderMan’. There are five key drivers here.— Matthew Ball (@ballmatthew) August 26, 2019
#1: 2018’s ‘Venom’. Poorly received (29% RT, B+ CinemaScore, 6.7 IMDb), but huge success. 6th most profitable in 2018. Gives Sony belief it doesn’t need Disney
